Ready, Set, Build… These exciting and interactive themed sessions will explore and investigate animals, transportation, space, amusement parks,
superheroes & our favorite Disney® characters! We will read stories, sing songs, play games and best of all build with Legos®! Our interactive
story times foster early literacy skills and take children on a storybook adventure! After the story, children will build a Lego® model that will
bring the characters to life. Children are encouraged to work in teams to build their Lego® masterpiece, all the while learning the fundamentals of
engineering, math & science!
We'll construct machines that make our lives easier by utilizing levers, pulleys, motors, gears, inclined planes and more! In addition,
we'll use motors to build models of race cars, sports equipment, amusement park rides and even power tools! Children will have building
challenges, work with gear ratios, motorize many of their constructions and begin experimenting with computer-controlled Lego's®. Children
are encouraged to work in teams to build their LEGO® masterpiece, all the while learning the fundamentals of STEM! (Science, Technology,
Engineering & Math). Our goal is to challenge and encourage fellow LEGO® builders to explore the world of building while expressing their
individual creativity.
Brick by Brick's Mindstorm Mania class combines classic LEGO® building with the world of robotics using motors, sensors and software! The program
will focus on LEGO® robotics, improving the students' understanding of robot design and programming. You'll learn how to design, build, and program
various LEGO® models to react to different environments and move in exciting ways. We will experiment with the brand NEW Lego Mindstorms EV3 and
compete in challenges to see which team can come out victorious!! This class is a fun and challenging introduction to the world of robotics for the
advanced LEGO® enthusiast!
FIRST LEGO League® (FLL) and Jr. First Lego League® (Jr. FLL) are exciting and fun global robotics
programs that ignite an enthusiasm for discovery, science, and technology. Each year FLL & Jr. FLL
teams embark on an adventurous challenge, based on current, real-world issues. Guided by a team
coach, the children: research and solve a real-world problem, present their research and build a robot
or machine using engineering concepts. FLL & Jr. FLL teams compete with other local teams for the
opportunity to advance to state, regional and national competitions.
Includes: Team Tee Shirt, Registration & Local Completion Fees.
Ages 6-16, $200 for Eight Two Hour Classes
