Hollie is currently a junior at the University of Arkansas. She is majoring in childhood education with a concentration in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Born in Manila, Philippines and raised in Japan, Hollie experienced a military upbringing for her father was in the Air Force. In 2008 her family moved to Sherwood, Arkansas, and in 2010 she graduated from Sylvan Hills High School. Her hobbies include playing video games, reading, crafting, and playing the piccolo in the Razorback Marching Band. College has inspired and solidified Hollie's passion and eagerness to teach children, and she looks forward to being an elementary school teacher.

Madi Steffen is a junior in the Elementary Education program at the University of Arkansas with a focus in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). She is from St Louis, Missouri and is incredibly excited for this opportunity. She has had a lot of experience in the past with kids, working at camps over the summer and as a nanny. She has also recently begun teaching a Robotics Club at Leverett Elementary working with students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade on LEGO® Mindstorm Robots. Madi has enjoyed seeing the students explore STEM through LEGO®s and has seen these students have a genuinely great time learning and creating. She can't wait to see more of this at the Brick by Brick center!

Amanda grew up in Joplin, Missouri where she graduated from College Heights Christian School in 2010. After marrying her high school sweetheart in 2012, she moved to Fayetteville. She is currently a senior in the Early Childhood Education program at the University of Arkansas with an emphasis on STEM. Amanda has had many experiences with children from babysitting to teaching Sunday school to working alongside NWA elementary school teachers in their classrooms. She loves working with kids. She believes instilling interest in STEM at an early age can allow students to develop skills that will eventually qualify them for the important jobs in that field in America.

Stephanie is from El Dorado, Arkansas. She is currently a senior at the University of Arkansas persuing a degree in Kinesiology, specializing in teaching preschool through 12th grade Physical Education. Stephanie has lots of experience working with and teaching young children. Most recently she was a lead teacher in a 3 year old preschool classroom. She has also spent a lot of time planning activities for summer camps and after school programs in Fayetteville for elementary aged children. Stephanie is more than excited and is looking forward to what is to come with the multiple programs at Brick by Brick.

Kristin moved to NWA from Memphis, Tennessee four years ago. She and her husband were looking for a good place to raise their family and chose Fayetteville after only visiting twice. Kristin worked for Northwest Airlines for 15 years as a Customer Service Agent and Flight Attendant. She loved her airline career but hung up her wings 8 years ago after the birth of her first daughter; she has since had another daugher who is 5. Kristin has worked as a preschool teacher for the last 4 years and has loved working in the classroom with children of a wide range of ages. Kristin's favorite hobbies are traveling the world and scuba diving. She is very excited about this new adventure and looks forward to learning and playing LEGO®'s at Brick by Brick with the little ones.

Amber spent her childhood in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She moved to Fayetteville in 1988 to study communications at the U of A. In 1992 she started her first career as a customer service manager at JB Hunt Transport where she was employed for 13 years. She then married and started her family of two sons and focused her attention on being a stay at home mom. Seven years ago she wanted to work and spend time with her sons, so she started working at his preschool. Once she saw the various possibilities of teaching children in a learning center she was hooked. When she started her career as a lead teacher she knew teaching was her calling and gained a new passion for childhood education. In 2011 she completed her Early Care and Education Specialist Certification specializing in Preschool. She is very excited about the future adventures of Brick by Brick.

Laura is a native of Fayetteville. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2006 having studied painting and art history. She spent several years after college pursuing a soccer career in Europe. After finishing with soccer, Laura spent the next six years teaching preschool before coming to work at Brick by Brick. In addition to working with children, Laura enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband.

Katie truly believes when children are encouraged to use their imagination they will be enthusiastic and lifelong learners.

"". Katie graduated from the University of South Carolina and is a certified Early Childhood teacher. She has taught kindergarten, second grade and toddlers.

"". Katie is an accomplished cross-country and track athlete. You will probably see her running the Ravenel Bridge, walking her Jack Russell at a local park or jogging on the beach!

Assistant Director, Lead Teacher

Denise is a recent graduate of the University of Florida, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree, as well as her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. While studying for her Master’s, Denise focused on educational technology, as it is an area of great interest to her. Stop motion animation, digital storytelling, and wikis are just a few ways she has integrated technology into her teaching experiences! She is very excited about bringing together not only her love of Legos®, but also her passion for technology education to !

Chastity White believes these words to be true. She strives to help students see their potential and work towards it. After graduating from Charleston Southern, she taught 3rd grade in Charleston County for five years. Teaching in Ghana, West Africa has been an important influence on her life. She has spent three summers teaching students in rural schools and exploring the history of Ghana.

She is excited to be a member of the Brick By Brick team and truly enjoys helping students use the outlet of building with Lego's enhance their learning and give them more opportunities to shine.
